The Melcher-Dallas softball team split in a twin bill on the road on Tuesday night against Twin Cedars. The Saints dropped game one 9-2 but bounced back in game two for the 4-3 win. The second game was a continuation from last week when it was postponed due to weather. The Saints had a 1-0 lead in the fourth and hung on for the victory. Melcher-Dallas head coach Nick Ellis was pleased with how the bats came alive in game two and is hoping the win will give his team momentum to finish off a busy week of games. The Melcher-Dallas softball team is back in action tonight in the Orient-Macksburg tournament against Nodaway Valley at 6 p.m. The Melcher-Dallas baseball team fell on the road to Twin Cedars, 15-0 in three innings. They will play tonight on the road against Southeast Warren.
