The Melcher-Dallas softball team picked up a head of steam on Saturday winning their own tournament. They took game one in exciting fashion 6-4 against Pleasantville as Megan Roush hit a walk off home run to send the saints to the championship game. They kept the momentum rolling as they beat Southeast Warren in the championship game 5-2. Head coach Nick Ellis was happy that the team came out ready to play focused on defense and discipline at the plate. The saints are 10-14 on the year and return to play tomorrow at Martensdale-St. Marys. The Melcher-Dallas baseball team fell in a twin bill on Saturday to Moravia 19-0 in three innings and 17-2 in four innings. The Saints are back in action tonight on the road against Orient-Macksburg.
