It took a couple extra frames, but the Twin Cedars baseball team used a three-run ninth to beat Lamoni on Wednesday, 9 – 6. Spencer McCarty was the winning pitcher, throwing four innings and allowing an unearned run on just two hits with three strikeouts. Colton Spaur threw four innings, giving up three runs on seven hits. Trace Embray went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, Otis Roby reached base all five times he made an appearance, gathering up a triple, two singles, a pair of walks, and scoring three runs. They improve to 9 – 1 overall, and they’ll play Orient-Macksburg for a varsity conference game tonight.
