The PCM softball team started off the Pella Christian Tournament with a 5-0 victory over Humboldt. Kayla Jennings was the winning pitcher in against Humboldt and Jayci Vos went 2-3 with two runs scored. The Lady Mustangs fell to Pella Christian in game two 7-0. Katie VandeWall had the only hit against the Eagles. PC racked up those seven runs on 12 hits, all of them singles. Ballard ended the Eagles’ day on a low note, blanking them 2 – 0. The Eagles had just three hits, off the bats of Courtney Johannes, Natalie Vos, and Amanda Harrill. The Lady Mustangs are now 17-9 on the year, and they will take the field this evening on the road against Saydel. Pella Christian’s girls are now 17 – 7, with a non-conference test versus Sigourney coming up tonight.
