In two different locations, both Pleasantville baseball and softball came away with nice wins over a pair of different opponents on Monday. Bailey Oliva spun a gem, pitching all seven innings in her Trojans’ 3 – 1 victory over Lenox. Oliva gave up just one run on three hits while recording seven strikeouts. Alli Friday was 2-for-3 at the plate, and Traci Kunze had a hit and an RBI. The margin was a little wider for the boys, as Pleasantville punted Montezuma, 7 – 1. Nate Sowers threw a complete game and struck out eight, Zeb Adreon had a two-hit night, and Jesse Nichols had a pair of doubles, as the baseball team is now 8 – 3, and both teams play Central Decatur later today.
