A long road trip for the Pleasantville baseball team certainly did not mean a long game as they traveled to Southwest Valley and won 19-0 in only 4 innings. Junior Nate Sowers got the start for the Trojans and went the distance giving up only 1 hit as Pleasantville jumped on Southwest Valley early and often. The Trojans continue to play at a high level as they have beaten opponents by an average of 7 runs during their current 8 game winning streak. Pleasantville next plays in a tournament today starting with Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. The Trojan softball team won again on the back of starting pitcher Bailey Oliva as she threw her second no-hitter this week to lead a 4-0 victory. The win brings them back even at 7-7 winning 4 of their last 6, and they next play in a tournament in New Sharon including North Mahaska and Twin Cedars.
