Balls were flying all over the place on the softball diamond yesterday, and when the dust finally settled, Twin Cedars took an 11 – 8 win over Tri-County. Mackenzie Sedlock pitched five-and-a-third to get the win on the mound, while her offense helped her out with 15 hits. Marisa Lundy and Shyann DenBurger each cranked out three, Bailey Dunkin, Jordyn Sanders, and Elizabeth Rowley added two hits, and four players knocked in two runs. On the baseball diamond, the Sabers stayed perfect with a 19 – 8 destroying of Tri-County. Freshman Nick Haselhuhn was the winning pitcher, throwing four innings, allowing nine hits with a strikeout. Trace Embray had three hits, including a home run, Cole Haines and Otis Roby each had three hits, and several others contributed a pair. The boys improve to 7 – 0, the girls are 3 – 6. The latter plays Pleasantville tonight, and the boys are at home versus Albia.
