Pleasantville’s softball team split a doubleheader yesterday with Southeast Warren. They won the first game 5 – 0, but dropped game two, 5 – 4. Bailey Oliva couldn’t have started the evening any better than she did. As the starting pitcher, she faced the minimum 21 batters and sat them all down in order for the no-hitter. Unfortunately, the success did not carry forth into the nightcap, with the Trojans dropping a 5 – 4 final to the Warhawks. They are currently 6 – 7 and have a game with Southwest Valley this Friday. Zeb Adreon homered in the first, then helped his team walk-off with a game-winning single for a 5 – 4 Pleasantville winner. Adreon is currently batting .500 on the season. The Class 1A No.5-ranked Trojans are now 12 – 3, they’ve won five straight, and they’ll resume a busy week at home tonight against Van Meter.
