Coming back from a tough, late-inning loss to Martensdale – St. Mary’s, Twin Cedars’ baseball team recovered nicely and dumped Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont yesterday, 7 – 0. The Saber ladies also prevailed, but over Mormon Trail, 9 – 5. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the offense was a bit sluggish early, but started to work some counts and strung some rallies together. Marisa Lundy was 2-for-4 offensively, while Kenzie Sedlock threw the complete game, allowing three earned runs on nine hits, one walk, with six strikeouts. The Saber boys are now 11 – 3, softball sits at 7 – 9, and each team returns to the diamond later tonight.
