Aaron Adams

Assistant City Manager Aaron Adams has been named interim city manager by the Knoxville City Council, effective August 29th.

The council voted to approve the appointment Monday. Adams says he’s excited to continue to work for Knoxville. He says his job will be to make the transition as smooth as possible for the new city manager, once that person has been chosen.

Adams will take over for City Manager Harold Stewart, who gave his resignation earlier this month for the same position in Warrensburg, MO.

The council also approved a request for qualifications for city manager recruitment firms.
