Their 2015 campaign ending early thanks to Van Meter, the Pella Christian softball team still takes away several positives from this past season. With just two seniors, the Eagles were able to hold their own in arguably the most difficult softball conference in the state for 4A, they blanked then No. 1-ranked Oskaloosa, and accomplished many things. Coach Karen Harrill says that she’s proud of her girls and that they should be able to keep their chin up despite losing in the regional quarterfinals. Harrill adds the loss to Van Meter should charge her returners and get them fired up to get back out there and improve. The Eagles lost only two seniors; Tessa Howerzyl and Abby Pleima.
