In three straight games the Pleasantville baseball team has had some heroic performances at the plate out of two of its stars, Junior Zeb Adreon and Senior Josh Luna. In the later innings, both players have had clutch at bats for the Trojans, with the two players scoring the only runs in the district final against Twin Cedars, Luna hitting a walk-off sacrifice fly against BGM, and Luna driving in Adreon with a deep double to tie the score in the bottom of the seventh inning against West Sioux. Pleasantville Head Coach Sheldon Card said it has been no fluke that these two have come through in the clutch. For the Trojans to continue to advance, they will certainly need the two stalwarts to continue to step up in clutch moments when they play North Linn in the state semifinal game Thursday afternoon.
