A rematch that was on the eyes of everyone as soon as the District 12 brackets were released is on hand for tonight as the Trojans of Pleasantville will play the Sabers of Twin Cedars in Bussey tonight at 7pm. Last year in the District 12 final Twin Cedars hit a walkoff home run to beat Pleasantville in what many saw as a matchup of two of the top Class 1A teams, making it the second consecutive year that the Trojans were knocked out by the Sabers. Pleasantville Head Coach Sheldon Card said while this game does have extra meaning you can only go into the game with the same mentality as every other game. The 31-3 No.5 ranked team in Class 1A Pleasantville comes into this game not having lost since June 6th and on a 24 game winning streak, while Twin Cedars has had some momentum as well especially after crushing the number two seed in district 12 Southeast Warren 13-1 on Thursday. The winner of tonights game will move on to play in the Substate Six Final in Pella on Tuesday at 7pm against the winner of B-G-M and Iowa Valley.
