The postseason individual awards keep coming for Knoxville Baseball players as three of the nine seniors have been named All-District by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association. Tony Salato was selected as the Class 3A First Team All-District catcher for southeast Iowa. He was joined on the First Team by Kevin Woodhouse who was chosen as a Third baseman. Both Salato and Woodhouse posted season long batting averages of over .500 during 2015, and their names are now littered throughout the Knoxville Baseball record book. Jake Kendall was also named to the All-District team, on the second team as a pitcher after posting a season record of 6-0. The Knoxville Baseball Banquet will be held tonight at the First United Methodist Church. KNIA/KRLS will have a full report of team awards tomorrow in today’s local sports and online at kniakrls.com
