The Knoxville Baseball Squad will set out on its postseason journey today as the Panthers host Norwalk, Bondurant-Farrar, and Winterset in the Class 3A District. Knoxville plays former Little Hawkeye Conference opponent Norwalk in tonight’s first round. The Panthers have had a tremendous season going 28-5 and winning the South Central Conference title with a 17-1 record. Norwalk is 12-19, and has been struggling to find any consistency, since losing ace pitcher Chris Comito to the M-L-B draft in June. With all the Warriors losses this season, Knoxville Coach Joel Johnson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Norwalk is still a formidable opponent. Knoxville has wins over Winterset and Bondurant-Farrar this season. You can hear the nightcap of the double header in Knoxville on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA with Derek Cardwell and Marcus Johnson at 6:45.
