The Pella softball team is set begin their first ever run at the State Softball Tournament against a program that makes the trip frequently.

The 21-13 Lady Dutch will take on Number 6 Fort Dodge, the unofficial host school, a team that has made trips every year from 2002-2006 and again in 2011 under current head coach Andi Adams. Head Coach Krista DeMeulenaere says the key to a successful postseason run is to stay level-headed.
