It was an active evening for area emergency crews.

During the heart of the first storm, Knoxville police and Knoxville Fire and Rescue were called assist a van in a ditch along Hwy 14 near Knoxville Airport, secure an area along Attica Road due to a damaged power line, responded to a vehicle fire at Competine St, and to a tree with power lines down on Jackson.

Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department responded to the home of a propane customer that was struck by lightning on T-15 and the CO detector was going off.

Indiana Township Fire Department assisted with a tree and power line down along Story Drive. The line was hot and across the roadway, so firefighters remained on location until crews from Mid-American arrived to fix the damage.

Pleasantville Fire Department also assisted with downed power line caused by a tree limb on Columbus St during the second round of severe weather to hit the area.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of these incidents.

Mid-American reported approximately 500 without power in Knoxville and Marion County at one point during storm. The Knoxville VA Clinic also needed help sandbagging.
