Pella High played a low-scoring, regulation baseball game with Ballard for seven innings. Then the eighth inning came, and the Little Dutch erupted for five runs to beat the Bombers, 7 – 2. Payton Shull went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, Tanner Wood had three hits, and Landon Vander Leest and AJ Kingery each had two hits. The win puts Pella at 24 – 4 overall this season, and they’ll host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for senior night later this evening.
