A $10,000 grant has been given to the Knoxville Community School District by the Marion County Community Foundation in honor of their 10th Anniversary.

Knoxville School Superintendent Cassi Murra says anytime they receive funds to support children is a great feeling and the assistance provided by the foundation is appreciated.

A decision on how best to spend the grant has not been made, but Murra says they could use it to fund a reading position in the district for the Iowa Reading Corps Program.
