Knoxville Community School District Superintendent Cassi Murra is also weighing in on the governor’s veto of school funding.
Murra says Branstad talks about world-class schools and how supportive he is of our public education, however his actions don’t say that at all.
Murra finds the governor hypocritical for delaying his veto until the 11th hour after criticizing legislators during the session for not quickly getting funding information to school districts. She believes the governor is using bullying tactics to set policy and that students deserve better.
