The Pella Christian softball team was unable to trade blows with the DCG Fillies in their 4-0 loss in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS. The offense struck out 11 times in six innings worth of at bats and scratched out two hits. Head Coach Karen Harrill, however, was impressed with just how close her team was to flipping the momentum to their side.

She says defensively– despite two errors, the Eagles fared much better and fought hard to keep the Fillies off the board as long as they could.

Courtney Johannes gave up four runs, including a 3-run blast in the 5th, to take her second loss of the season. Pella Christian falls to 21-9 in their second to last game of the 2015 campaign. Tonight, Seniors Tessa Howerzyl and Abby Pleima will be recognized as a part of senior night against Montezuma.
