In just about any sport, Pella Christian is behind the eight-ball when it comes to conference play.

The 2A school often finds itself competing with teams one or two classes above them. The Pella Christian softball team was certainly not an exception, and played hard against some of the best teams in the state. They faced eventual Class 4A State Champions Dallas Center-Grimes, the 4th-place Pella Lady Dutch, and Oskaloosa and Norwalk, who both made it to regional finals and were in the top five of the rankings for most of the season.

Eagles Head Coach Karen Harrill says the girls relish the challenge, and that she’s extremely proud of their 4th place finish in conference play.

“We always do feel like we are the little dog in that conference,” Harrill says. “To get fourth in that conference is a huge, huge plus for us.”

Pella Christian finished the 2015 season at 22-10.
