The Pella Food Shelf is in the middle of one of its busiest times of the year.

Director Melissa Zula tells KNIA/KRLS News they are continuing their back-to-school programs. She says they also see an uptick in families using their services during the summer due to a lack of school lunches. The Pella Food Shelf feeds an average of 500 families a month and includes a mobile food pantry. They are located at Peace Lutheran Church and are open each Tuesday in the morning from 8:00 to 9:00 am and in the evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
