The Pella School Board submitted their 2016 legislative priorities to the Iowa Association of School Boards at their meeting this week.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says schools will likely remain in the forefront when the next session starts in January. He says the board wanted to emphasize the need for additional supplemental state aid, improvements to the Iowa Core, and the extension of a one-cent state sales tax that helps schools plan facility improvements long term.
