The Pleasantville baseball team swept a doubleheader over Interstate 35, winning game one 7-0 and game two 11-0. The heart of the Pleasantville pitching staff went in both games with Zeb Adreon throwing a complete game one hitter in the first, and Josh Luna throwing a complete game two hitter in the latter contest. The two wins brings the Trojan win streak to 19 games in a row, and they have not lost a game since June 6th. The now 26-3 Trojans go for revenge against the team that took them out of the state tournament last year on Monday when they play at home against Twin Cedars. It’s not how the Pleasantville Softball team envisioned ending the season as they did not fare well in the regular season finale against Interstate 35, losing game one of a doubleheader 16-5 and dropping game two 13-12. The two losses bring Pleasantville to 13-12, and they prepare for district postseason play on Monday against Grand View Christian.
