The Pleasantville Baseball season continues and they are now one game away from playing for a State Championship! Only one obstacle now stands in their way to get that chance, a scrappy and determined North Linn team blocks the Trojans progress after a surprising upset in their quarterfinal game against 29-0 Van Buren. The Trojans, who will put their astonishing 27 game win streak on the line, have not advanced to this game without pomp and circumstance, requiring walkoff wins in their last two games. The young Lynx of North Linn combine a small ball style with aggressive baserunning to fuel their offense highlighted by having three players with over 30 stolen bases. Pleasantville Head Coach Sheldon Card said it helps they have played similar teams on their current postseason run.
Today’s game can be heard on 92.1 KRLS with Garrett Knock and Andrew Swadner on the call, with pregame starting at 1:10 and first pitch scheduled to be thrown at 1:30.
