Area elementary and middle school students will have the opportunity to learn more about the family that founded Pella this week.

Scholte Fun Day takes place on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program is for students entering 4th through 7th grades. They will have the chance to learn about the Scholtes through crafts, games, and food. The day will start at the Vermeer Windmill and Historical Village, followed by a short walk to Scholte House. Registration costs $20 and includes lunch. Those interested should register at the Pella Historical Society Office on Franklin Street.
