Reports of flooding have led to the shut down several roads in Marion County.

The Marion County Secondary Roads Department has identified 15 area roads closed due to flooding from Tuesday night’s rainfall. All of the roads are to the south and west of Knoxville.

The Iowa Department of Transportation says the Hwy 92/5 junction near Pleasantville is also closed due to flooding.

Sandbags were reportedly needed at the VA Clinic in Knoxville overnight. VA Central Iowa Health Care Systems Public Affairs Officer Kristi Catrenich says water due to flooding was controlled and extracted before it reached the clinic and it is open for business and taking regular appointments today.
