The weather has had an impact on the local and national farm economy, according to Iowa State Savings Bank Ag Banker Leslie Miller.

Miller says there have been reports of wet weather from people visiting other states. Miller says, in many cases, beans were planted late or not planted at all. While corn looks good, yields are expected to be down because the wet weather can cause the leaching of nitrogen.
