For a team that made it all the way to the regional final in 2014 and only lost two seniors, the expectations for the Pella Christian softball team this year were high. The anticipation for the season and subsequent playoffs rose when the Eagles brought over Emma Schnell from a talented Lynnville-Sully squad to fortify their pitching staff. Though their season came to an abrupt end in their first playoff game against Van Meter, Coach Karen Harrill is still happy with how the season went overall. She adds that she was impressed with the defense, but hopes the bats awaken from their slumber by the time the 2016 season begins next summer.
