It’s quite the leap to go from playing high school volleyball to playing collegiate volleyball. Players are stronger, taller, quicker, more mature, and more experienced, and sometimes the challenge lies in getting up to speed as a freshman quicker than others. Central head volleyball coach, Kent Clayberg, sees the fact that he has a big sophomore, junior, and senior contingent that are able to help the incoming freshmen make those adjustments and be contributors sooner rather than later. The Dutch volleyball season opener is less than three weeks away when they host Monmouth on September 1.
