Turning in an 8 – 2 campaign in 2014, the Central football team has preparations underway for the upcoming season, which is about a month away. On both sides of the ball, Dutch fans will see many new faces at several of the skill positions. Quarterback Aaron Eiseler, wide receiver Brendon Boerm, tight end Jack Norgaard, running back Josh Osborn, defensive backs Eric Larson and Jacob Tune, and kicker Kevin Sheldon all graduated this past spring, which opens up several holes for Coach Jeff McMartin and new offensive coordinator, Ryan Maiuri to fill. Coach Mac says even after the etch-a-sketch was shaken up with a blank slate, the new guys, along with returners, will easily be able to draw a winning picture. McMartin adds that how fast the newer players develop will also be key to how far this team goes in 2015. The Central football season kicks off on September 5 at home against Benedictine.
