It’s down to the Final Four.

The top 16 slots are locked for the finals of the 55th Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals. Terry McCarl won the second night of qualifying Thursday. Danny Lasoski finished second while Jason Johnson came in third.

Donny Schatz will look for his ninth Knoxville Nationals championship for the pole in Saturday’s A-Main with Kerry Madsen alongside him in Row 1.

The night included a crash in the very first heat race that injured driver Kevin Swindell. He was taken by Mercy One helicopter to Des Moines and his condition is not known at this time.

The final four will be determined tonight during the final night of qualifying at Knoxville Raceway with the Speed Sports News World Challenge at 7pm.
