Ending a game short of where a lot of people thought they would be at, the Pella High baseball team and its coaches are looking at the good that came from the 2015 season. Though they did lose a heartbreaker in the waning moments of the Class 3A semifinals to Harlan, the Little Dutch were ranked No. 1 in the state for most of the season, had five guys make it to the first team all-conference, and their losses from a senior standpoint were minimal in terms of numbers. Coach Jesse Jablonski says the guys that’ll be back to give it another go in 2016 will thrive on that experience. Leading that pack of returners is Grant Judkins, who will be a senior, and many key players are due back for Coach Jablonski when they report to practice next May.
