One fact that may be overlooked when reminiscing on the 2015 Pella High softball season that ended in Fort Dodge is that the Lady Dutch will only be without two seniors next year. Pella will welcome back six juniors that will be called upon to lead this now battle-tested and experienced team out onto the dirt each time out in 2016. The road ahead, though, is not smoothly paved, with a just-as-difficult conference gamut to go through again, but Coach Krista DeMeulenaere says the ladies will be ready to go out and fight. DeMeulenaere will be watching as a spectator next year, as she stepped down as head coach at the conclusion of the season, but says she looks forward to seeing how far the Lady Dutch can go when summer rolls around again.
