Pella High is not the only football team that has the Tulip City buzzing with excitement. A hop, skip, and a jump away from Pella High Stadium, the Pella Christian Eagles have been hard at work prepping for a season that sees them entering Week One as the No. 4-ranked team in Class 1A. The junior-tandem of quarterback David Kacmarynski and Levi Jungling have both stepped up their games in the offseason and will be a force to be reckoned with starting this Friday. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says both players focused on specific areas to improve upon during their time away from the gridiron. Area coaches have rumbled that the younger “Kac” is bigger than some of their bigger and stronger offensive linesmen. Jungling and David are just two of a big junior-senior class that return from a 6 – 4 campaign a year ago, and have been picked by many to challenge for a district title. The Eagles will start with a non-district contest first this Friday at home against PCM. You can hear the game live on 92.1 KRLS and via our free mobile app.
