The Knoxville School Board got a chance to review data from the past year about how students are performing in the school system and the results were encouraging.
Superintendent Cassi Murra says students are performing better the longer they’re in the Knoxville Community School District, with middle and high school students outperforming the state average. She says the district has become serious about tutoring programs and how services are delivered to students.
Murra adds that while things are going in the right direction, they are in no way satisfied and will continue to look at ways to improve.
