Since 1985, Coach George Wares has done nothing but succeed during his tenure as the skipper for the Central softball team. The Dutch have been to the NCAA D3 “Elite Eight” a total of 13 times. Part of the credit can go to Coach Wares and his staff for an awesome job on the recruiting trail. Also chalk up some “due” to the players themselves and even the fans for providing that bit of momentous spark in key spots during games. Wares says his Dutch also benefit from getting players in other ways. Central wrapped up their 2015 campaign in the super regional and are dealing with the loss of a program-record amount of seniors. They picked up a 34 – 12 overall record.
