It can be hard to get a lot kids to come out for cross country, especially at a smaller school like PCM. The numbers, though have been great the last few years with 51 kids from grades 7-12 going out for cross country last season for the Mustangs. The depth also allows the team to bring back a ton of runners from the previous year only losing senior Rachel Peter to graduation. Head coach Eric Karr says its great having the returners and number of kids go out but it wasn’t like that when he first took the head coaching job. The PCM Cross County team looks to use that experience and start the season off on the right note when they open up the fall season at Iowa State University on Thursday, August 27th.
