The Pleasantville football team is looking to build on its 5-5 record from 2014 by making strides on the defensive side of the ball. The Trojans will bring back their top three tacklers from last year, including a pair of inside linebackers in Sawyer Phillips and Gunnar Sampson. The two stalwarts up the middle combined for 121 total tackles including eight tackles for loss. Trojans head coach Gabe Bakker told KNIA/KRLS Sports his defense is in good hands with those two seniors leading the way. The Trojans opened up their preseason with a scrimmage against PCM and will begin their regular season this coming Friday when they travel to Colfax-Mingo in a game that can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com.
