The Pleasantville Trojan Football Team will open up their season tonight looking for revenge on the team that set them back a year ago, Colfax-Mingo. The Trojans fell to the Tigerhawks 21-0 in the first game of the 2014 season, a game that Pleasantville turned the ball over five times. Coming into the 2015 Colfax-Mingo returns all players who touched the ball offensively in the 2014 matchup save one, and includes Quarterback Jared Myers who threw for over 2,500 yards. Pleasantville on the other hand returns Quarterback and leading rusher Zeb Adreon, and their top three tacklers on defense including inside linebackers Gunnar Sampson and Sawyer Phillips. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker said at the end of the day you can’t worry about the other team too much, you just have to play your game. The Pleasantville vs Colfax-Mingo game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. tonight, pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 and can be heard live via the KNIA 3 stream on KNIAKRLS.com.
