The Pleasantville Volleyball team dropped their first match of the season on Thursday night, falling 2-3 in five games to the Chariton Chargers. Game one was a back and forth affair and was eventually won by the Trojans 25-23. Chariton flexed it’s muscles and led from start to finish taking game two 25-13. Pleasantville regained the momentum in game three, getting ahead 20-12 before sustaining a late Chargers run to eventually win 26-24 on the strong serving of Bailey Oliva and Avari Heinz-Penz. Game four however was all Chariton, as they dominated from the get go winning 11-25, and would eventually go on to take the match in the deciding game five 15-8. Pleasantville falls to 0-1 on the season and will next play Tuesday, September 1st in a road affair at East Union.
