A Newton woman involved in the June theft of more than $1300 of merchandise from a Knoxville business has been given a year probation.
37-year-old Lisa Elaine Versendaal pled guilty to a reduced charge of 3rd degree theft.
According to court records, on June 14th, Versendaal and 36-year-old April Ann Wilcox were seen at Walmart stuffing merchandise into storage containers, then walking out of the store.
Wilcox has been charged with 2nd degree theft in the case, a Class D felony, and faces 3rd and 4th degree theft charges for two other incidents. Wilcox has pled not guilty and is next scheduled to appear in court, Friday, August 21st.
