The Twin Cedars’ baseball team made it all the way to the district final in Class 1A, and for their efforts, landed three players on the All-Bluegrass Conference team for 2015. Unanimously chosen to the first team was pitcher Otis Roby. The senior was the leader on the mound and at the plate for the Sabers, hitting .566 with ten doubles, five triples, and three home runs, and drove in 33 runs. Roby pitched his way to a 7 – 2 record on the mound, with a 0.89 ERA and 142 strikeouts in just 62-plus innings. Teammate Trace Embray was also a unanimous choice for the first-team all-conference. Embray hit .356 on the year and had a 6 – 3 mark on the hill for Twin Cedars, with 56 strikeouts in 52 innings, compiling a 2.29 ERA. Spencer McCarty was chosen to the second team. He had a .376 average at the plate and drove in 21 runs. Marty Beary received an honorable mention. Twin Cedars finished with a 19 – 7 record.
