The sentencing of a Knoxville man who shot another man in the head last October has been postponed until next month.

60-year-old Ricky Lee Hyatt pled guilty in July to reckless use of a firearm, a Class C felony, assault causing serious injury, a Class D felony, and intimidation with a dangerous weapon, also a Class D felony.

Hyatt was arrested on October 23rd at a residence on the 900 block of North Roche Street for shooting 28-year-old Sean Vrban of Knoxville in the head. Vrban survived the incident.

The sentencing hearing that was scheduled for today has been continued until Sept. 18th. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull told KNIA/KRLS News he intends to ask for a 20-year prison term.
