Three Pella residents face felony drug charges after they were stopped by police along Highway 163 on Monday.

According to court documents, a vehicle owned and driven by 31-year-old Kristin Marie Scott was pulled over by a Marion County deputy at approximately 12:40 p.m. A search warrant was executed, and officers reported finding approximately 15 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Dustin Levi Vos, 32, and Sarah Lynn Ferguson, 22, also of Pella, were in the vehicle at the time of the search and admitted to officers that they were heading to Des Moines to purchase meth.

All three were charged with a controlled substance violation, a class B felony. Scott faces an additional charge of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony, and illegal possession of a prescription drug. Vos also faces a charge of possessing a weapon for a pair of brass knuckles police say he had on his person.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 4th. Scott is being held on $106,000 bond at Marion County Jail, and Voss and Ferguson at $100,000.
