Johnathan Davenport of Mount Airy, North Carolina won night one of the 12th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals last night at the Knoxville Raceway. Davenport, who had led early on, took the lead on the white flag lap from Jimmy Owens, who finished second, Don O’Neal finished third. Owens is the points leader after night one with Davenport, and O’Neal the top three. All drivers have the option of racing again tonight to try to better their points for Saturday’s championship races.
