Make it a 2 – 0 start for the Central women’s soccer team as they blanked Alma yesterday, 2 – 0. Kayla Sunvold and Olivia Denham both scored for the second straight game, as they had the tallies for the Dutch’s 2 – 1 win over Nebraska Wesleyan on Tuesday. The Dutch men couldn’t come back from a sluggish start, as they fell 3 – 2 to the Scots. Alma scored all three of their goals in the first half, one of them coming from a Central “own goal” in the first minute of the game. Quinn McClurg and Zach Butters each scored the final two goals of the game. Central’s men fall to 0 – 2, and both Dutch squads are in action at home against this afternoon; the women play Cornell at 1:00 p.m. and the men will take on Concordia-Moorhead at 3:30 p.m.
