For the second straight week, a Marion County team will be involved in a highly-touted, top-three ranked football contest, as Class 2A No. 1-ranked Albia comes to town to take on 1A No. 3, Pella Christian. The Blue Demons did lose the Sarver brothers to graduation, but are still potent on offense, outscoring their two opponents thus far, 78 – 14. Carter Isley is their top back, with 263 yards on the ground so far, and five touchdowns to boot. Despite this, Coach Rich Kacmarynski is still confident entering tonight’s game. The Eagles counter with Sam Frederickson and David Kacmarynski, who have combined for just shy of 300 rushing yards and six scores. David has also thrown for seven more touchdowns and 564 yards, which is the second most in the state in all classes. You can hear tonight’s non-district game live on 92.1 KRLS, streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com, and via our free mobile app. Cory Houser and Larry Hessing will bring you the call with pre-game starting at 6:30 p.m. and kick-off set for 7:00.
