Pella Christian’s football team never allowed Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont to get off the launching pad on Friday night, as the Eagles destroyed the Rockets, 68 – 12, in a game heard live on KNIAKRLS.com. The first offensive play from scrimmage for PC was a 65-yard touchdown strike from David Kacmarynski to Levi Jungling, and from that point, it was all academic. Kacmarynski went 6-for-9 passing with five touchdowns, one interception, and 215 yards through the air. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says it was a great bounce back game for his defense after not playing as well the last two contests. Jungling had three catches for 129 yards and three scores, and the Eagles as a team outgained the Rockets, 527 – 126 for the game, and it was 386 – 1 at intermission. The Eagles improve to 3 – 2 on the season, and are now 1 – 1 in the district. PC returns home next Friday to play the Huskies of Highland-Riverside.
